Quality Assurance Technician

  • This is a full-time position on the 1st shift at the Egg Plant. Position is responsible for the overall quality program at Hamilton Eggs including the management of Food Safety and Food Defense Programs which includes Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Sanitary Operating Procedures (SSOP), and HACCP as well as Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Will need to develop and manage the GFSI program. Will also manage the QA technician on 2nd Shift, who will assist in meeting the requirements of the quality program.
  • The QA Supervisor will coordinate and manage all third party food safety audits. Will work with the Sanitation team, Maintenance team and Supervisors to continuously improve sanitation and quality opportunities. Will actively monitor cooler flock inspection results and finished goods product inspections, as well as received goods program, including eggs and packaging materials. In addition, will supervise 2nd shift QA technician. manage employee training program on work quality opportunities.

  • Individual must have a two-year degree with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be highly organized, have good working computer knowledge and enjoy being a team player. Must be dependable and have a high level of energy. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Experience in a food environment would be helpful.
